September was in full swing at the HEC UK House! We welcomed +300 Master in Finance students to London — all in the week of the tube strikes. From Mayfair to the City to Canary Wharf, they covered the capital on foot (their step counts were impressive!) and made the most of every encounter. A huge thank you to all the alumni who generously opened doors, made introductions, or joined our networking evenings: your support makes such a difference — you can read full details of their trip below.
The month was also marked by a vibrant discussion on rugby in the context of the Women’s World Cup in England, with the President of the French Rugby Federation (FFR). It was a warm and lively exchange on the role of sport in society, and women’s sport in particular.
FOCUS OF THE MONTH: Throwback on the Finance Study Trip
The 2025 London Finance Study Trip brought together more than 300 students from the MSc International Finance (MIF) and MSc in Economics and Finance (MEF) programs for an intensive four-day experience in one of the world’s leading financial hubs. Through a series of company visits and networking events hosted at the HEC UK House, participants gained unique exposure to the breadth of the financial sector.
The trip helped bridge classroom learning with real-world application, sparking interest in specific firms and sectors while providing a clearer view of workplace cultures and career pathways. For many, the experience was a crucial milestone in clarifying professional ambitions and strengthening ties with industry leaders, particularly HEC alumni who can support them on their journeys.
