About the session

In this morning coffee chat, Emma Cochrane and Inge Kerkloh-Devif will introduce HEC Paris Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center, which aims to set up an unparalleled concentration of entrepreneurial energy. This morning will focus on the entrepreneurial initiatives and programmes implemented by the Center; in particular those focused on social impact: 

  • Women & entrepreneurship 
  • Incubator & Social Business Accelerator 
  • Women Entrepreneur for Good & Programme G20  
  • HEC Stand Up in Italy (programme for women entrepreneurs from disadvantaged neighborhoods).


About HEC Paris Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center


The HEC Paris Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center has been created to enhance HEC Paris' reputation as the leading European Business School for Entrepreneurial and Digital Innovation, meeting the aspirations of a new generation of students and the needs of businesses. As well as overseeing the coordination of the Business School's programs, the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center runs an innovation laboratory for developing cutting-edge ideas. The HEC Paris Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center includes :

  • 3 Research Laboratories: Entrepreneurship, Data and Innovation and Regulation;
  • 9 majors: such as Design Innovation Project (Grande Ecole, with Ecole Polytechnique), Entrepreneurs (Grande Ecole, with Ecole Polytechnique), Digital (Grande Ecole)
  • 3 Certificates: Digital Entrepreneur, Digital Transformation and, in September 2018, Data for Management;
  • Accelerator programs: the HEC Incubator at Station F, HEC Challenge + (tech companies)  the Startup Launchpad (business creation of last year students) and its extension in Silicon Valley, HEC eLab...
  • Corporate partnerships with 5 Chairs: AXA Digital Strategy and Big Data, Capgemini Digital Experience, GS1 France Digital Content for Omnichannel, L'Oreal Entrepreneurship, Natixis X-HEC Data Science for Future Banking; and 4 sponsors: Air France, Atos, Orange, Webhelp.

All of these programs - which use approaches such as learning by doing methods, project-based learning and design thinking - cover 873 students and have helped develop 126 business projects in 2017-2018.


About the Meet & Learn Coffees
A series of informal talks reserved for Corporate Ambassadors and/or Alumni Volunteers to learn from HEC professors and experts, discuss with HEC senior staff and hear latest updates, and meet and connect with other Corporate Ambassadors/Alumni volunteers. 


Learn about becoming a Corporate Ambassador or an Alumni volunteer: 

  • The Corporate Ambassador Programme is a network of alumni who agree to help punctually HEC UK, to inspire the students, help HEC and foster synergies with their companies (talent, business development, purpose...). Their misions include putting us in touch with the right contacts in their company, giving a 1h talk on zoom to students, helping us organise a zoom event, etc.

  • The Alumni Volunteers animate the community of 3000 alumni in the UK with 12 exciting clubs in the fields of Finance, Sociey & Organisations, Innovation & Leisure. Alumni help us organise events and connect with alumni from their clubs, while being part of a fun and dynamic team.
