How can digital and technology re-shape the future of health?

Tuesday 22nd June 2021

6.30-7.45pm (London Time) / 7.30-8.45pm (Paris Time)

Online

The Covid-19 pandemic has dramatically impacted our lives, putting a spotlight on the wider healthcare ecosystem, from research to logistics and health policies, while accelerating the digitisation of the industry. Digitising the healthcare system can not only improve the quality of healthcare, but also improve diagnostics and treatment efficiency, thereby reducing costs. Telemedicine, AI-enabled medical devices, and blockchain electronic health records are just a few concrete examples of how the digital transformation in healthcare is completely reshaping how we interact with health professionals, how our data is shared among providers and how decisions are made about our treatment plans and health outcomes.

The panel will be moderated by Lilyana Vlaeva (H.14) and composed of :

Vladimir Ionesco (H.11) - Head of Sales Performance at Doctolib
Vladimir heads the Global Sales Performance team at Doctolib - one of Europe's leading e-health scaleup. He joined the company in 2018 as the first member of the Product Strategy team, where he notably designed the EHR strategy and managed the telehealth task force during the first wave of COVID. Before joining Doctolib, Vladimir worked four years in algorithmic trading and two in strategy consulting. He graduated from HEC's Grande école programme in 2011.

Julien Grand-Clement - Assistant professor at HEC Paris
Julien Grand-Clément is joining the Information Systems and Operations Management Department at HEC Paris as an assistant professor. He completed his Ph.D. from the IEOR Department at Columbia University in 2021, and his M.Sc. from Ecole polytechnique (Paris) in 2016. His research interests broadly lie at the intersection of sequential decision-making for healthcare and artificial intelligence algorithms. His latest collaborations include robust allocations of beds in intensive care units with hospitals in California and interpretable ventilator allocations guidelines with hospitals in New York City. His research articles have appeared in leading academic journals, medical and artificial intelligence conferences.
