"How to become a better innovator in 1 hour"


Innovation skills will be amongst THE top skills required in the workplace!

Based on his real-life experience as a Global Innovation Director for DANONE, and also as Founder/CEO of an innovation-based start-up Innovinco, Tom Pullen (EMBA.18) will share some of his tips & techniques to help build your innovation capability & confidence:

Topics covered will include (1h session + 30 min exchanges Q&A):

- Why customer-centricity is so important & how to get better at it

- Why you should focus more on problems & questions

- How to brainstorm effectively to create bigger & bolder ideas

- The power of low-resolution prototyping


Please note: This will be a fast-paced INTERACTIVE session, during which we're going to immediately put these tips & techniques into practice on a real-life innovation challenge for a UK-based charity!


About Tom Pullen: 

Tom spent 18 years innovating in large global corporations such as Boots and Mars, with the latter 5 years as Global Innovation Director at Danone. In this role, he supported many teams with their innovation challenges, as well as creating commercially successful, award-winning innovations.

In 2016, he was trained in Design Thinking by Stanford University, and also started his Executive MBA at HEC Paris, majoring on Innovation & Entrepreneurship

In 2017, he founded Innovinco, a start-up specialising in fast and impactful expert solutions to accelerate innovation performance in large companies. Innovinco has now helped over 25 major corporations across all industries including alcohol, chocolate, cosmetics, electronics ... even oil & gas! Innovinco was selected to be part of the HEC Incubator, based at Station F - the largest start-up campus in the world.

Tom is a former Roosevelt Scholar, having spent 4 months in the US researching how large corporations can drive growth across different geographies. Tom frequently delivers guest lectures and keynote speeches on innovation, and recently delivered his first TEDx talk  “When did innovation get so complicated?”
