The European Union Week 2020, organized jointly by TUM School of Management and HEC Paris, will take place on May 25-29, 2020 at the Technical University of Munich. This is the fourth year that the event is being held, a sign of our commitment to and belief in Europe.

The aim of the European Union Week is both to inform participants about the EU and to get them excited about the European idea.

Agenda:

6:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Opening Event Audimax with the politicians Romano Prodi and Edmund Stoiber

Romano Prodi (born 9 August 1939) is an Italian politician who served as the 10th President of the European Commission from 1999 to 2004. He served twice as Prime Minister of Italy, first from 17 May 1996 to 21 October 1998 and then from 17 May 2006 to 8 May 2008. He is considered the founder of the Italian centre-left and one of the most prominent and iconic figures of the so-called Second Republic.

Edmund Rüdiger Stoiber (born 28 September 1941) is a German politician who served as the 16th Minister President of the state of Bavaria between 1993 and 2007 and chairman of the Christian Social Union (CSU) between 1999 and 2007. In 2002 he ran for the office of Chancellor of Germany in the federal election, but in one of the narrowest elections in German history lost against Gerhard Schröder.
