Chers Alumni,

“The Bank’s recent acquisitions are at the forefront of artistic developments within and beyond the EU, including both internationally-acclaimed artists as well as more emerging talent. The strategic re-orientation of the Bank’s acquisition policy and eligibility criteria in 2019 has been confirmed by external demand for loans and guided tours for cultural authorities. In 2023, a total of 17 works from 15 artists was acquired to enrich the EIB Art Collection; these artists all stem from places experiencing or with a history of social unrest. These new acquisitions greatly enrich the EIB Collection as a tool for propelling conversation, discussion and debate on the leading issues of today.”
