Walking tour in Latin Quarter and garden lunch party in Saint-Germain-des-Prés
HEC Paris Chapter is pleased to invite our members to a walking tour in English with Nikki Wang (MBA 2010), the President of the Paris Chapter and the cofounder of cultural agency TheWaysBeyond to discover the Left bank - from Latin Quarter to Saint-Germain-des-Prés
The Left Bank is synonymous with intellectuals, beautiful boutiques and historic monuments … For centuries, the vibrant and arty Left bank district has been attracting visitors from all over the world. Set out to explore this district which has a village feel, and a mix of culture and heritage, right in the heart of Paris. Lets follow the footsteps of the legendary great minds that changed the course of the mankind - Voltaire, Sartre & de Beauvoir, Hemingway, Picasso, James Joyce...just to name a few.
Adorned with winding cobblestone streets, vintage shops and quaint eateries, this neighborhood remains a favorite for tourists and locals alike. While some monuments are sure to be on the must-see list of anyone who visits Paris, however, there is even more beauty tucked away in this neighborhood immortalized by the artists who use to live here in the late 19th century to mid 20th century. We can still feel their presence today, their free spirit and their talent.
The walking tour will end up in the charming Saint-Germain-des-Prés where our old friend, the founder of the Paris Chapter Eric de Rugy lives. He will be so kind to open his house and invite us for a lunch party in his beautiful garden!
