This presentation provides attendees with key information on how to conduct M&A deals, presents the main legal issues raised by M&A activity, and discusses how to run M&A deals as efficiently as possible.

Executive Director of the "International Law and Management" HEC Specialized Masters Program. Michael Loy was admitted to the Paris Bar (Avocat à la Cour) in 1993 and he has been an Affiliate Professor at HEC Paris since 2008.
After having worked for various law firms (e.g. Allen & Overy) from 2000 until 2011, he set up his own practice in 2012. His areas of work cover the incorporation of companies, carrying-out their legal corporate obligations, drafting shareholders’ agreements, setting-up joint-ventures and handling mergers and acquisitions (M&A), initial public offerings (IPOs) and takeover offers transactions. In addition, he has developed expertise relating to the disclosure by listed companies of their regulated information (such as drafting their reference document in collaboration with the French Stock Exchange authority.
