As the Head of Financial Markets Division for State Bank of Mauritius Ltd (SBM Bank) I actively contribute in setting the strategy of the Financial Markets Division and driving in its execution in line with the bank overall strategy. I lead four key functions namely Financial Market Sales, Trading, Derivatives, and Fixed Income activities. I contribute to the creation and delivery of sustainable shareholder value. Financial Markets currently contribute to 40% of the revenue of the bank (Mur 1.745 BN). My responsibility is to regularly provide recommendations and input on the overall bank strategy and actively involved in its implementation. I also contribute actively to the capital management of SBM Group Holdings Company by providing relevant treasury solutions and debt capital market insights.
With the combination of my expertise in financial markets and deep local and regional market knowledge, I deliver a variety of risk management, financing and investment solutions to our clients. With more than 15 years of experience I have firmly established myself as a trusted partner with extensive knowledge and deep relationships to Corporates, Banks, Governments, and Institutional clients. This coverage is extended to our network in SBM Kenya, Madagascar and India. Conduct, ethics and good governance are important values embedded in my day-to-day activities
