Laetitia Vitaud will tackle how the pandemic accelerates ongoing work transformations
Monday October 5th, 12:30pm CET
The current crisis doesn’t help foster a sense of perspective. However, our current questions about value, the meaning of work and bullshit jobs are unique opportunities to tackle necessary issues, such as the role of public services (and their future) and collective bargaining. The confinement shed light on the domestic sphere, which has become a productive place again. Also the rise of remote works comes its own set of threats and opportunities. Work/life balance has become a societal issue, not just a private one. Is this the opportunity to reinvent the safety net to fit the new paradigm?
This webinar is the first of a new series exploring the Future of Work, coordinated by Laetitia Vitaud (H.02). It will address themes such as the management of distributed teams, remote work and inclusion, the passion economy, employment & urbanism etc.
Laetitia Vitaud (H.02) is a writer and speaker about the future of work and consumption. After 10 years as a teacher in French "classes préparatoires" (a 2-year programme to prepare French students for the competitive exams to the "Grandes Ecoles", including HEC), she switched to the world of Human Resources. She’s the editor in chief of the HR media Welcome to the Jungle, the new independent media Nouveau Départ and a weekly newsletter about the future of work. She published several books including Du labeur à l'ouvrage: l’artisanat est l’avenir du travail (Calmann-Lévy, 2019) and 100 idées innovantes pour recruter des talents et les faire grandir (Vuibert, 2020).
