Come and join us for the Alumni Ventures pitching event at Balderton Capital! Join us to meet with amazing entrepreneurs who are currently fundraising! In the past events, the event hosted several successful start-ups, some of which have now raised impressive Series A. Some examples include: - Freachly, an influencer marketplace led by Steffen Allesch (HEC Alumnus), secured a seven figure Series A funding in Jul-18 after raising a seed round in summer 2016 with the help of HEC Alumni Ventures. - Luko, a Fintech disrupting the home insurance market in France, which raised €2m in May-18 from Xavier Niel, eFounders and other business angels - Factmata, an artificial intelligence company for automated content scoring and verification, targeting the proliferation of fake and misleading news. - Other successes include Coaching Assembly, Symaps or SmartBatz. The event is a chance to meet a selection of outstanding startups from HEC alumni networks handpicked by a committee of venture investors and experts. We have established deep links with some of European best technical and business alumni networks with a strong emphasis on finding and supporting high growth, disruptive and VC fundable opportunities. Selected teams will have gone through a rigorous vetting and selection process to ensure you are only presented with the best ones. So far, almost 20,000 appointments have been booked on the platform since the launch. Serependity (London)uses your phone’s address book to send you pop-up notifications when you cross paths with someone you know. The rest of the time it runs quietly in the background using very little battery. Funding need: £250,000 - SEIS & EIS eligible TempaGoGo (London) is an online platform that helps SMEs find and work with multiple recruitment agencies at once, in a few clicks, without having to call around agencies one by one. Recruitment agencies are already paying for the service and 60 clients placed orders to find temporary staff including UPS, Laundrapp, Holiday Inn. Funding need: £600,000 - SEIS & EIS eligible TempaGoGo was co-founded by Caroline Pegden (HEC H2007) QUBIST (London)is an employee communications app which makes your marketing and recruitment work harder by creating informed, engaged and influential employees. The QUBIST app is given to all employees: in store, on the road, in the office. Current customers including John Lewis, Waitrose, Audley Travel Funding need: £550,000 SeaB Energy (London) turns food waste into energy and recovers water, transforming waste on-site to make energy and fertiliser and removing carbon emissions of waste transportation and water production. Funding need: £350,000 xLearn (Paris)helps HR teams boost their employees’ potential. We use Artificial Intelligence to match your employees’ profiles with the internal career development opportunities. Our first clients include French retail bank and telecom provider. Funding need: €1,000,000 xLearn was co-founded by Evgenia Sopochkina (HEC H2012) INDUO (London) is creating the first non-iron, stain and sweat resistant cotton dress shirt fabric in the world. INDUO is bootstrapped, profitable and growing with 27 brands are using their fabric, £300k total revenue to date, 15,000 shirts in INDUO® fabric, 70% sales from repurchases.
