We are glad to invite you to the Masterclass by HEC Professor Jeremy Ghez on January 23, from 12:15 pm to 2:15 pm at Banque Degroof Petercam, 18 Guimard Street, Brussels.

The title of the masterclass is: "Donald Trump’s prospects, and what they mean for Europe".

The masterclass will be in English and will be followed by a session of Q&As. It will start at 1:00 pm. We will have drinks and sandwichs from 12:15 pm to 1:00 pm.

At 2:15 pm, Jeremy Ghez will be available for book signing.

Jeremy Ghez is an Affiliate Professor of Economics and International Affairs at HEC Paris. He is the Academic Director of the school’s Center for Geopolitics.

His research focuses on the United States, on tech giants and on populism. His work has been published in RAND manuscripts and in reviews such as Survival.

Jeremy was appointed one of the world's top 40 under 40 professors by US publication Poets & Quants, the leading media on business schools. He is a regular guest of French medias.

In September 2019, Jeremy Ghez published "Architects of Change - Designing Strategies for a Turbulent Business Environment", Palgrave Macmillan.

Here is a link if you wish to order his book.

And here is the pitch of the Masterclass that Jeremy will give to us on January 23:

Donald Trump surprises us, Europeans, every single day. We often hope that he’s a mere accident of history, that international relations will go back to normal when he leaves office.

And yet, there is increasing evidence that suggests that his election was by no means a coincidence: The anger that brought him to power is very real and unlikely to disappear with him. What does this mean for Europeans? What does this new political reality demand from us?

We’ll first explore Trump’s political prospects for 2020. We’ll also discuss the shifts in policy that he triggered. This will help us better identify what Europeans can do in order to better adapt to this new global deal.

Last, but not least. This masterclass is a free event thanks to the contribution of our partners: Banque Degroof Petercam, Thalys and Trends-Tendances.

We want to express to them our gratitude.
