Chateau Palmer Tasting with Cambridge - Very limited capacity (HEC Wine Club UK)
Dear HEC Alumni
The HEC Wine Club UK would like to invite you to celebrate the friendship between the Cambridge and HEC Paris alumni communities on the 7th of September over a very exclusive wine tasting.
For this very special event, we will welcome Chateau Palmer, a classified growth from Bordeaux and one of the best estates of the Margaux appellation. Château Palmer is named after a British officer in the army of Duke of Wellington, Major General Palmer, who made his name in Napoleonic wars and settled in Bordeaux in 1814. Today, Palmer is owned by the Sichel family who acquired it in 1938 and the estate produces about 20,000 cases of wine per annum sold all over the world. In addition, Palmer is also one of the few estates to have converted to organic and biodynamic methods.
Christopher Myers from Palmer will host our tasting and his intimate knowledge of the estate and wines will enhance your evening. In addition to Palmer’s ‘Grand Vin’, Chateau Palmer, we will taste the estate’s second label, Alter Ego, which has been produced since 1998 from the same terroirs.
Our selection is as follows:
Alter Ego 2011
Alter Ego 2010
Chateau Palmer 2008
Chateau Palmer 2006
Chateau Palmer 1999
