The Blondeau takes its final bow

Dear alumni,

The Blondeau lecture hall - for HEC, a legendary place - was witness to the school’s history and a symbol of the HEC spirit. Generations of students from all backgrounds – one after another - experienced memorable moments there. We all remember its “vintage” decoration, its slightly faded blue seats, and its wonderful acoustics. Today, it needs to be completely rebuilt.

Since the fire that destroyed it at the beginning of October, many of you have expressed your support and desire to help the school. This surge of solidarity touched us deeply because it testifies to the strength of the bond that unites us all, and the capacity of our community to bounce back.

To respond and to give the amphi an even more central place at the very heart of the campus, we have collectively decided to make Blondeau a priority in the real estate project scheduled to start in 2025. Discover the message from Jean-Paul Agon (H.78), Chairman of the Board of Directors of HEC Paris.

More precisely, the school has decided to rebuild the 840-seat lecture hall, making it “the heart of the heart of the campus". No longer a renovation but a reinvention, more ambitious than what was initially planned as part of the 2025 Campus project.

This is a great opportunity for us all to jointly shape the campus of tomorrow.

From today, should you so choose, you can express your support by making a donation towards this project on a dedicated platform. You can also – if you wish - name a seat in the future lecture hall. To find out more, please click here.

We do hope that many of you will take advantage of this opportunity and count on your mobilization and generosity.

Thank you all.
