HEC Alumni Celebration: Maria Morozova-Duthoit’s new book & fireside chat with Meta France Country Director
Join us for an alumni celebration of the launch of Maria Morozova-Duthoit’s second book, The Work Smarter Guide for New Managers. Last year, we raised a glass to her first book on sales. This time, the topic is a bit trickier: the everyday reality of managing humans, with all the ambition, anxiety and occasional chaos that come with it.
Maria will be joined on stage by another HEC alumnus, Pierric Duthoit, Country Director at Meta France. Together, with Maria’s new book as their starting point, they will talk about the risks of the “fake it until you make it” approach in management, compare how people leaders are raised in Big Tech and in the Army, name the most common traps managers of all levels fall into, and discuss the art of managing upwards.
There will be time for audience questions, followed by a cocktail: a good moment to continue the conversation, compare your own management highs and lows, and reconnect with fellow HEC alumni as the holiday season approaches.
