Female leadership in the work place: 4 leaders share with us their story and their vision of the Middle East gender balance moving forward.
Tuesday, May 25th, 6:30pm French time
Event organised by Women & Leadership UAE chapter, in collaboration with HEC Au féminin and with the support of the Lebanon, Qatar and Saudi Arabia Chapters.
When it comes to female leadership, the Middle East is a complex region changing at a fast pace. Access to education and literacy levels are solved problems, with girls outperforming boys in science in GCC and Levant and female university graduates outnumbering males in both KSA and UAE. However, women's participation in professional and technical jobs is not on par with men. Women make up less than 10% of senior managers across for instance in KSA and UAE.
Yet several initiatives are today in place to promote women advancement and increase gender equality in the workplace. Empowerment of women is a top priority of Vision 2030 in KSA. Similarly, UAE and Oman have launched national strategies to empower women. And role models are emerging, strong figures fighting for leadership while lifting as they climb.
This conference brings together HEC female business leaders from different countries and industries under the same umbrella to discuss and devise strategies. Attendees can network with ambitious and successful women and hear from speakers who have overcome struggles and challenges to achieve amazing accomplishments.
