REGISTRATIONS : HEC Companionship for a Purposeful Career (jan-april 2027)
Helping a young person find their path: there is perhaps no more fundamental act for an alumnus. But not in the usual way! Intergenerational companionship invites you to adopt a radically new posture: neither advice dispensed from above, nor simple encouragement or life testimony, but a genuine encounter, in parity and reciprocity, one that requires you to expose yourself in your own challenges, so that you walk the path together rather than guiding from a distance.
The student gains perspective and support to ask themselves the right questions and commit to a career that is meaningful to them. You, in turn, leave with a rare and profound accompaniment experience that lastingly renews the way you listen and help those around you grow — young people in particular.
The HEC Companionship For a Purposeful Career Programme
In 2027, the HEC Paris Purpose Lab and the HEC Alumni association are continuing their partnership with Eotekum, the coaching and leadership training firm founded by Hubert de Boisredon (H.86) and Louis Faure (H.17), to accompany the 6th cohort of 80 student/alumni pairs through the intergenerational companionship experience.
The primary goal is to train students in Purposeful Leadership. For alumni, it is an opportunity to go well beyond mentoring or tutoring: to learn how to accompany a younger person in truly growing as a leader.
The programme is facilitated by two professional coaches and facilitators: Maïwenn Favetto Bon (H.93), a former participant for three consecutive years and co-facilitator for the past two, and Louis Faure (H.17).
The programme is conducted in English, preferably in person (at least one in-person meeting with your student companion is required), with the option to attend sessions remotely.
It is open to Grande École, MBA, and Executive MBA alumni with a minimum of five years of professional experience.
How does it work in practice?
A three-month journey (mid-January to mid-April 2027), structured around:
- 80 student/alumni pairs formed through online matching
- 3 hours of alumni briefing ahead of the programme (9 hours of coursework on the student side)
- 3 collective two-hour sessions to learn the art of "companionship," in subgroups
- At least 4 one-on-one exchanges with your student companion
- The Eotekum® methodology, developed through more than 300 accompanied pairs
- Academic contributions from the HEC Purpose Lab to ground the practice in a broader scientific perspective
