In cooperation with HEC Paris, HEC Paris Alumni Management Hub (Corporate Governance, Corporate Strategy, Management & Human Resources), USA East Coast and UK Chapters are delighted to invite you to an online event featuring a new approach to corporate strategies by:

Professor Michael Porter

Harvard University's preeminent strategy professor. Porter’s “Five Forces” and “Value Chain” constructs are universally studied and followed.

A new approach is emerging in the field of strategy development: Professor Porter is convinced that ESG standards are not in conflict but enhance company profitability and competitiveness and it is precisely the theme of his presentation: “From shareholder supremacy to stakeholder optimization: a new approach to corporate strategies”.

This will not be a short-lived evolution: Professor Porter’s testimony is another proof that we are the witnesses of a major evolution of the 21st Century Capitalism.

Michael Porter’s approach is conveyed to the corporate world through his association with:

-  Bill Achtmeyer, Chairman and CEO Acropolis Advisors

who will explain the reactions of CEO’s and how he provides them with the tools to set expectations for investors, employees and suppliers.

After this presentation, we will hear the reactions to Professor Porter’s presentation of:

-  Adrien Couret (H07), CEO Aema Group, HEC Alumni President,

and other guest speakers expressing the personal experience and ESG priorities of investors, corporate executives, HEC students…

This will be followed by a Q&A session.

The event will be moderated by Eric Bourdais de Charbonnière (H63), founder of HEC Alumni Governance Club.

Registration: free - open to all
