‘It takes something more than intelligence to act intelligently’
Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Have you ever found yourself in situations where :
- An image, a word or question, a person or their face or gesture, inspire you to take action or make a decision?
- Rational analyses or explanations seem to only take you so far?
- What you say or do provokes unintended consequences?
- Emotions take over and your brain goes on autopilot?
- Thoughts clearly influence how you perform?
Our ability to solve problems, seize opportunities and engage others doesn’t solely come down to our intellect. Something else, most of the time unconscious, is at play in our ability to be our best individually and collectively : emotions. Understanding emotions is key to unlocking performance in ourselves and others.
During this short breakfast seminar, we will:
- Explore what Emotional Intelligence really is, why and how it can be developed
- Clarify how emotions impact behavior, performance and relationships
- Experience how to connect with emotions of others in a way conducive to solid relationships
‘It isn't stress that makes us fall: it's how we respond to stressful events.’
Wayde Goodall
