Raphaël

Currently working at Equigy as a Senior Business Consultant, where I support the strategic development of our European crowd balancing platform. My work focuses on the analysis of business and technical requirements from our stakeholder Transmission System Operators (TSOs) to facilitate the participation of distributed energy resources (such as electric vehicles and home batteries) in balancing and redispatch markets.

This role at Equigy marks a natural continuation of my previous work at Capgemini Invent, where I began working on the Equigy project as a consultant. After nearly 3.5 years in that capacity, I relocated from Hamburg to Amsterdam in mid-2024 to join Equigy as a full-time employee and further deepen my involvement in the European flexibility ecosystem.

Prior to moving to the Netherlands, I studied and worked in Germany from 2018 to 2024. I hold a Master's degree in Energy Economics and Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich (TUM). After completing my thesis on the Value of Energy Data in Europe, for which I received a grant from the BNP Paris and the French-German University, I joined Capgemini Invent’s Energy and Utilities team in Hamburg.

Before my academic and professional experience in Germany, I earned a Master’s in Management from HEC Paris. My career reflects a strong interest in digital and energy transformation, rooted in hands-on experience: from sustainability consulting at EY, to energy optimization at BeeBryte, and venture capital due diligence during nearly two years at Siemens' fund-of-fund as a working student. My international academic background and professional experiences across Europe have shaped my passion for innovation in the energy sector and honed my ability to thrive in multicultural teams.
