I chair and advise ambitious, purpose-led scale-ups at the point where growth needs to become more structured, more profitable and more durable.

Over the past 25+ years, I have helped build and scale digital consumer, retail and platform businesses across Europe, first as an operator and now as a Chair and Non-Executive Director. As VP Markets at Zalando, I led international markets across 17 countries during a period of rapid growth. Today, I bring that operator judgment into the boardroom, helping CEOs, founders and investors align strategy, governance, leadership and execution.

As Chair of refurbed, I have supported the company through significant growth, fundraising, the transition from a three-founder model to a single CEO, executive team strengthening and governance professionalisation. Across listed, PE-backed, founder-led and venture-backed businesses, my board work has focused on CEO succession, leadership effectiveness, incentive design, stakeholder alignment and the shift from growth to profitable growth.

I am particularly interested in companies where ambition and purpose reinforce each other: circular economy, health and wellbeing, consumer platforms, responsible commerce and businesses using technology to change behaviour at scale.

What I bring is a combination of board discipline and hands-on scaling experience: strategic clarity, constructive challenge, empathy for founders, strong commercial judgment and a deep belief that long-term value creation depends on people, purpose and execution.
