Founder & partner, building & urban sustainability

MGR SUSTAINABLE PROJECTS , Maracaibo - CDI

De Août 2006 à Janvier 2010

In 2006 I saw a gap in the construction sector in Venezuela: architects wanting to create more green buildings, new regulations (in the city of Maracaibo) and engineering teams not very engaged in bridging this void. With two architect, we set out to fill this gap and grow with a new venture:

• Consultant to over 50 commercial and residential building projects to exceed by at least 20% the local energy ordinance, which granted them local tax exemption.

• General manager (responsible for business development and strategy, 9-member team, marketing strategy, client development and relationship) where I increased revenues by 27% by expanding governmental building clients in 2009 (PDVSA, ENELVEN, DUCOLSA).

• Facilitated +200 attendees workshops on energy efficiency and best practices, targeted to professionals, academic groups and community leaders.

• Developed internal/external CSR initiatives for various Oil, Mining and Construction companies.

Several of the experiences were presented in international conference for the built environment.
